Mike Molesevich closed his environmental consulting business in 2023 ending a 40-year career providing energy and environmental services.

Mike provided services that included the removal of petroleum underground storage tanks (USTs); soil and groundwater remediation, sampling, monitoring; environmental audits; emergency planning; energy audits/consulting, and special investigations. He assisted in numerous real estate and business transactions many of which involved environmental and remediation issues.

Mike performed hundreds of energy audits, building inspections, and remediated numerous properties in central PA under the PA Land Recycling and Environmental Remediation Standards Act.

He continues to be active in his community making presentations on the history of towns using Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps that are color, hand-drawn maps with descriptions of buildings, railroads, train stations, coal yards, businesses, and industries from about 1880 - 1960. Programs are about 1 hour with discussion and questions.

Mike used Sanborn Maps to research industrial history in his work. He is a board member of the Union County Historical Society and a former Mayor of Lewisburg. Mike presented similar programs using Sanborn Maps on the history of Lewisburg, Milton, Shamokin, Tamaqua, Selinsgrove, Sunbury, Northumberland, Milton, and Mount Carmel.
